Practical Homeownership does not currently use affiliate links or earn affiliate commissions on any published article.

Some guides may include affiliate links in the future. This page explains how we would handle that, so the commitment is public before any commercial relationship exists.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link to a third-party product or service that can pay us a small commission if you make a qualifying purchase, typically at no extra cost to you.

Our commitment

If and when affiliate links are used, they will not change:

• whether a safety warning is included;
• whether professional help is recommended instead of a product;
• which factual conclusion an article reaches;
• whether a product or service is described more favorably than the evidence supports.

How disclosure will work

Any article that contains an affiliate link will disclose that relationship clearly on the page, near where the link appears -- not only here.
