Practical Homeownership aims to publish accurate, well-supported homeowner guidance.

When we identify a material factual error, misleading statement, broken source relationship, or significant omission, we review the issue and correct the article as appropriate.

What may trigger a correction

How we handle corrections

• clarify a local or jurisdiction-specific qualifier;
• strengthen a safety boundary;
• update related internal links;
• revise a diagram or table;
• add a correction note when the change is significant enough to warrant one.

Updated dates

We do not change an article's updated date merely to make the page appear fresh.

An updated date should reflect a meaningful editorial review or substantive revision.
